CPSIA Certified

Our bamboo-organic cotton fleece has 70% bamboo & 30% organic cotton. It is only at AKAS that this superior quality is available in 66″ width.

The bamboo-organic cotton fleece, softer than a baby chinchilla (and that is about as soft as it gets!), has many desirable properties which include its excellent absorbency and its ability to inhibit bacterial growth as bamboo is naturally anti-microbial. It holds moisture very well and feels comfortable even when wet. It is often used in absorbent soakers in diapers, also providing stability to the soaker.

Uses & Applications
  • Bamboo-Organic cotton fleece is mainly used in diaper soakers for its absorbency and to provide structure to them.
  • It is used to line the inside of diapers too, with its soft side towards the skin.
  • It can also be used to make wipes with the flat side facing out.

This fleece can be used as an inner or outer layer. One side is the soft fleece, while the flip side is a smooth knit with a nice sheen to it. It is very soft and stays that way even after multiple washes. For outer layers, we recommend using it with the flat side out. As a fabric used on the inside, it can be used with either the fleece side or the flat side towards the baby’s skin. It is gentle on the skin and has been found to be suitable for sensitive skin.

Bamboo fiber, along with organic cotton fiber, produces a much nicer, softer, and more versatile fabric. The cotton content is organically grown to minimize the environmental impact, well in keeping with the philosophy of AKAS. In addition, these are sustainable resources, easy and fast growing, needing no pesticides or chemical fertilizers or excesses of water.

This product is made in North America and covered by the NAFTA.
