Durable Water Repellent (DWR) Treatment

What is DWR Treatment?

Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable water-resistance treatment applied to fabrics to make them water-resistant (or hydrophobic).

Uses of DWR Treatment

Fabric treated with DWR will cause light rain to bead up and roll off which makes it a water repellent fabric. Our DWR treatment ensures that saturation does not occur on the water repellent fabric's exterior. Without this treatment a fabric could become waterlogged and heavy if exposed to water. In addition, our treatment is applied in a way that does not inhibit the fabric's breathability. The treatment does not close off the tiny openings between the fibers of the fabric, instead it bonds to the textile's fibers, thus keeping the water repellent fabric breathable.
